Nasolabial Filler

Nasolabial Filler

The groove extending from the wings of the nose to the corners of the mouth is called the nasolabial line or groove.

This groove is present even in infants and becomes much more evident as age progresses. It is one of the places where filling applications are made the most.

The prominence of these lines leads to an unhappy, tired, old expression. Nasolabial lines are alleviated with filling. You can continue your social life without any problem in mimic muscles.

The nose and lip area are the most sensitive areas of the face, so numbing with cream or needle is absolutely necessary. The amount of filler to be used varies according to the depth of the nasolabial lines. The application takes approximately 10 minutes. A slight redness occurs after the application, the most obvious reason for which is wiping the skin surface with antiseptic solutions and disappears within 1 day. If necessary, control can be made after 15 days. Fillers containing hyaluronic acid provide permanence in this area for an average of one year. Renewing it before it melts completely will extend the life of the filling.

Fillers are the first choice materials for reducing and removing nasolabial wrinkles or grooves. Especially if it is necessary to provide volume in the face area, fillers are frequently used in the world today because they offer safe and easy application. Especially, hyaluronic acid-containing fillers are preferred because they rarely cause allergies and adverse reactions.

For nasolabial filling application, mostly hyaluronic acid-containing fillings are preferred and thus these grooves are filled. Hyaluronic acid does not have any harmful effects on the tissue, on the contrary, it has been shown in studies that it triggers collagen synthesis by stimulating fibroblasts, also known as stem cells, in the tissue. Normally, it is one of the building blocks of our body. It is found mainly in the joints, veins and skin.

After the nasolabial filling application, it does not cause any change in mimic movements and you can continue your daily life from where you left off. The application is made by injecting hyaluronic acid under the skin with a needle. To prevent discomfort or pain, numbing creams are applied to the treated areas. Local anesthetic injection is rarely required. Nasolabial filling application can be done together with other region filling applications or alone.

The amount of filler to be used may vary depending on the size of the problem, but the effect of the application will appear immediately. Even after one side is made, you can compare it with the other unfilled side in the mirror. The best image appears within 10 days. Some patients may experience bruising of a few mm in diameter. If such a situation occurs, the problem disappears within a few days with bruise removal creams.

If the filling process is repeated, the permanence gradually increases.
